Cat Scratchers Australia | Cardboard, Lounges & Scratch Boards

Explore our carefully selected range of cat scratchers designed to support natural scratching behaviour while helping protect sofas, carpets, rugs and household furniture. Scratching is part of a cat’s daily routine, helping them stretch, maintain healthy claws and release energy.

This collection includes practical options such as cardboard cat scratchers, scratch boards, curved scratch lounges, scratch boxes and everyday floor-based scratchers. These styles are especially useful for indoor cats, kittens and cats that prefer low or horizontal scratching surfaces.

If you are unsure where to start, cardboard scratchers are often the easiest first option, while upright scratching posts are better for cats that like to stretch vertically.

Different cats scratch in different ways. Some prefer flat cardboard surfaces, while others enjoy curved loungers or enclosed scratch boxes where they can rest and scratch in the same place. Observing whether your cat scratches carpets, sofas or upright surfaces can help you choose the most suitable option.

For cats that enjoy climbing, perching or taller resting spaces, you may also like to explore our cat trees and scratchers collection. Many households use both a simple scratcher and a cat tree to provide more variety.

You can also explore more specific options such as cardboard cat scratchers, cat scratcher beds and cat scratching posts depending on your cat’s scratching style.

FAQs – Cat Scratchers

Why do cats need a cat scratcher?

Cats scratch to stretch, maintain their claws and mark territory. A suitable cat scratcher gives them a dedicated place to scratch and can help reduce damage to furniture.

Are cardboard cat scratchers good for indoor cats?

Yes. Cardboard cat scratchers are commonly used for indoor cats because many cats enjoy the soft, shreddable texture and low scratching surface.

What type of cat scratcher should I choose?

Choose based on how your cat already scratches. Cats that scratch carpets may prefer flat cardboard scratchers, while cats that scratch sofa arms may prefer upright posts.

Where should I place a cat scratcher?

Place it near areas your cat already uses, such as beside sofas, near sleeping areas or close to windows. Familiar spots usually encourage better use.

ADS PET - Refrigerated Delivery to select VIC Area ONLY*

This collection is available with refrigerated delivery to selected VIC areas. We carefully transport frozen and fresh pet food from our Moorabbin warehouse to ensure quality and freshness during delivery.

VIC Refrigerated Delivery FAQs

How are frozen pet foods kept cold during delivery?

Orders are packed using insulated thermal bags and ice packs to help maintain safe temperatures during transport.

Frozen raw food deliveries are transported under chilled cold-chain conditions (0–5°C) rather than deep-freeze conditions (-18°C). Refrigerated delivery vehicles are designed to maintain stable low temperatures suitable for raw food transport, particularly during warmer weather.

Because products are delivered in chilled conditions, food may occasionally soften slightly or partially thaw, especially around the outer edges. This can sometimes cause the food to feel softer than expected or show moisture when pressure is applied.

Importantly, the product remains within safe food-grade temperature ranges throughout transport. Upon receiving your order, you can place the patties directly back into the freezer to re-freeze without any safety concerns.

Which areas in VIC are eligible for refrigerated delivery?

Refrigerated delivery is available to selected areas across Victoria. Eligibility depends on postcode.
