ADS Same Day Delivery Service – Most Melbourne Metro Areas*

Since September 2022, ADS is proud to extend our Same Day Delivery service to cover more Melbourne metro areas. For customers outside of these areas, ADS Local Delivery is still a convenient option.

What is Same Day Delivery?

  • Designed to save time and reduce waiting.
  • Free delivery for all orders over $79.
  • $10 delivery fee applies for orders under $79.
  • Orders placed by 10:00am (Tuesday–Saturday) qualify for same-day delivery. (During peak periods, deliveries may arrive the next day.)
  • Available in select Melbourne metro areas.

Important Notes for Local Delivery

  • Authority to Leave (ATL): ATL will apply unless otherwise specified by the customer.
  • Delivery During Peak Periods: Your order may arrive the next day during high-demand times. You will receive an email or SMS notification if this occurs. We sincerely apologise and appreciate your patience.
  • Same-Day Delivery: Not available on Mondays, Sundays, or Public Holidays.
  • Cut-off Times: During high-volume periods, cut-off times may be brought forward. Notifications will appear at the top of our website if this occurs.
  • Failed Deliveries & Cancellations: If a parcel cannot be delivered and the order needs to be cancelled, a $10 cancellation fee will be deducted.

Authority to Leave (ATL)

You may request ATL at checkout by leaving a note (e.g. “Please leave order if not home”). ⚠️ Please note: If a parcel is left unattended and goes missing after being marked as delivered, ADS cannot provide further assistance. The risk is borne by the customer.

A $10 re-delivery or cancellation fee applies if delivery fails due to:

  • Incorrect address
  • Missed driver call
  • No safe ATL location (e.g. no reception, apartment mailroom issues, etc.)
  • Other factors preventing successful delivery

How Same Day Delivery Works

  1. Shop Online – Browse and select your favourite products.
  2. Add to Cart – Place your chosen items into your shopping cart.
  3. Check Postcode & Pay – Enter your postcode at checkout to confirm eligibility (Melbourne metro only). Once confirmed, select your preferred delivery date. Please ensure all products are in stock in your area to guarantee delivery.
  4. Order Confirmation – You will receive a confirmation email. Once picked up, another email will be sent. Orders placed before 12:00pm are delivered the same day. Drivers may leave parcels in a safe location if required.
  5. Track Your Order – Receive SMS notifications from “GO PEOPLE” and an email with a tracking link, showing the driver’s location and ETA.

What time do I need to place my order for same-day delivery?

Orders must be placed by 10:00am (Tuesday–Saturday) to qualify for same-day delivery. Orders placed after this time will be delivered the next business day. (During peak periods, deliveries may arrive the next day.)

Do you deliver to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers or Parcel Collect?

No, our local delivery service does not deliver to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers, or Parcel Collection points. Please provide a residential or business address.

What are the delivery fees?

ADS Local Delivery is free for orders over $49. Orders under $49 incur a $10 delivery fee. Or free standard shipping is also available for most metro areas on orders over $49 via courier services.

What happens if delivery fails?

If a delivery fails due to incorrect address, missed driver call, no safe ATL location, or any other reason preventing successful delivery, a $10 re-delivery or cancellation fee will be applied or deducted.

Are there days when same-day delivery is not available?

Same-day delivery is not available on Mondays, Sundays, or Public Holidays. During peak periods, deliveries may arrive the next day.

Which areas are covered by same-day delivery?

We cover select areas in the Melbourne CBD, inner eastern, and inner south-eastern suburbs. You can check the full list of eligible postcodes above or enter your postcode at checkout to confirm availability.

How will I know when my order is arriving?

You’ll receive SMS updates from “GO PEOPLE” and an email with a live tracking link showing the driver’s location and estimated arrival time.
