Cat Training and Clean Up

To maintain hygiene and reduce odors, scoop waste daily, and wash or replace litter completely at least once a week. Use deodoriser powders or sprays daily or every few days to help neutralise odours. Deep clean the box (with pet-safe disinfectant) periodically. These practices, along with using odour removers, help keep things fresh.

Training pads are typically designed for dogs/puppies, but in some situations, they may be useful for cats (e.g. travel, temporary confinement, or older cats with incontinence). However, most cats prefer litter boxes. If you use pads, ensure they are absorbent, changed frequently, and placed in low-traffic areas.

Use an enzymatic stain & odour remover (like Nature’s Miracle or Trouble & Trix) to break down the odour-causing bacteria. First blot up as much of the liquid as possible, apply the product according to instructions, let it work for the recommended time, and then rinse or blot dry. For persistent odours, repeat treatment.
