Moxiclear for Cats Over 4 kg is a once-a-month topical flea and worm treatment from Norbrook, containing the active constituents imidacloprid (100 g/L) and moxidectin (10 g/L). One spot-on application to the back of the head covers fleas, heartworm prevention, roundworms, hookworms, ear mites and lungworm, giving adult cats over 4 kg a simple monthly parasite routine.

Key benefits

  • Treatment and prevention of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.); larval flea stages in the surroundings of treated pets are killed, and the incidence of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) is reduced
  • Prevention of heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) infection
  • Treatment and control of roundworms and hookworms (larval L4, immature and adult worms)
  • Treatment and control of ear mites (Otodectes cynotis) and lungworm (Aelurostrongylus abstrusus)
  • Water-resistant formulation: stays effective after shampooing, swimming or rain

Moxiclear does not control tapeworms; use a specific tapeworm product if needed.

How to use

Use 1 pipette of Moxiclear for Cats Over 4 kg (0.8 mL) for cats over 4 kg bodyweight. Kittens and small cats up to 4 kg need Moxiclear for Kittens and Small Cats up to 4 kg.

Have your cat standing, remove any collar until the product is dry, part the hair on the back of the head until the skin is visible, then place the pipette tip on the skin and squeeze firmly twice. Avoid the eyes and mouth, and prevent the cat or in-contact animals from licking the site. Repeat monthly, ideally on the same date each month; for heartworm prevention start one month before the first exposure to mosquitoes. If washing your cat during use, choose a soap-free shampoo. Consult a veterinarian before use.
